I found a fantastic site that explains Hawkman's complete life (well almost). There is a section there about the zero hour and explains about hawkgod, what he is, and their battle. The article is called "everything you never wanted to know about hawkman". If you don't feel like reading the whole thing, just search the page for "ZERO HOUR" and get right to the part with hawkgod.
